MAMA-KANGAROO 358
Dear expecting moms, while reading the texts published on this and similar sites, I get the impression that you are not filled with optimism. I come from Sombor and less than three months ago I gave birth for the second time in our Maternity Ward. My experience is not nearly as bad as yours when it comes to corruption. Namely, both times I gave birth all the staff of the maternity ward behaved very correctly towards me, even though I haven’t given any bribes or pulled any strings, and I can say the same for all the patients in my room, because from all that I saw or heard everything was OK. Now, it is always possible that some midwife has a bad day, so that she is a bit rude, or that the birth is difficult, and in that case everything bugs and offends you. I believe that the most important thing for us is that the babies we have are alive and well, and that is not up to bribery, but to a healthy pregnancy and faith itself. Here in Sombor, it is not possible to get an epidural anesthesia, so the birth is more difficult that way, but still, I must say that we have extraordinary doctors and midwives who are always willing to help, without a dime. At least that is my experience. Now, if you wish to reward somebody afterwards, that is your good will and it is up to you.
